Fired Up........
I constantly say among my friends ‘’let Jesus come now’’… I’m not sure of the particular reason behind this statement…but sometimes it seems there’s just so much to be done in so much evil. I get worked up when I think about Africa’s current state and more Nigeria’s current state. I look around me and it seems people are not making efforts for things to get better.
Fine everybody and every community is a work in progress…but how long have we been on this work. I personally think it’s the responsibility of every individual, irrespective of where you live to make the world a better place…how we all fail at that. We fail to take responsibility for ourselves and our existence and expect to be fed with everything.
Yes the human nature is corrupt…..oh how terrible….maybe I am saying this because I understand the God factor, truth is there is no way we can say we love God, when we can’t love our neighbours; Africans being very religious people, Nigerians having so many churches and like a friend mentioned ‘’Nigerians have so many churches, that they export churches’’….lol. If we are to pray for our Jerusalem, we should be responsible for our Jerusalem; which of course is Nigeria. Faith without work is dead, we are good at talking the talk, but there’s a need to work the talk. There’s a great disparity between what we teach, what we live and what we seem to portray to the world.
I am really tired of people without a sense of purpose, I am terribly tired of people who are selfish and all they want to do is get and get and never stop getting…The African people yes have been through a time of colonialism….a period that shaped Africans to be more of receivers than givers, it shaped Africa to expect others to be responsible for them ; the lower class daily expecting the so to say higher class to cater for them; they live in intimidation and complex, the higher class recognises this and oppresses the people. Yes we are educated, education is supposed to liberate…yet in Africa it seems education has made us bound. We are stereotyped and accustomed to being treated as slaves, living the same old way. Insanity they say is doing the same things the same way and expecting a different result. mscheew …the average African Man is lazy and would rather wait for the government, possibly die in the process, than stand up to do something, oh and if he eventually does make a move..its for his own belly..(Food for the belly and belly for the food, both shall God destroy)….The terrible part of this result is that the children being bred now a days…have this same nature in their blood…..
The lack of love leads to selfishness, hatred…it sounds stupid for one person to slit the throat of another. I mean that is what animals are supposed to do, not humans. Well what do we have…we have humans behaving like animals, killing for no reasonable reason....(pardon my tautology**winks**)
People argue and ask; what has the government done? I ask these people; who is the government? We elect these people, we decide if our votes count or not…well people may say we need to protest and make sure things are done the way we want them to. Protesting in Africa leads to people dying, well I don’t have a problem with that; without blood there is no remission of sins...lol… but will the death of innocent people guarantee a better Nigeria.
Can we invest in ourselves? Make a conscious effort to be better people and create a better environment.
Africa is not poor….Africa is rich and has resources,…but her people her highly poor in the mind and in the way they think.. No one carries money to the grave. So gathering all the money won’t make no difference…we need to realign our priorities, we need to focus on love, we need to be objective.
Christ might come today or tomorrow…but till he comes, we must occupy and occupy well
