What Ignite your Faith

I must say it makes a whole lot of sense leaving your locale to visit another habitat; in other words I mean it makes sense when you leave your country to another. You know apart from the fact that I came here for a course, and I probably can’t see the purpose of being here right now...lol; I was able to see the way people outside my local domain think and rationalize. Apart from local Indians , I met 5 other foreigners, and I wish I had a tape recorder every time I spoke to them, so I could play it back and probably laugh if it was funny, learn when I have to and straighten out crooked point if warranted to…lol
When I think about the conversations we had, I imagine what God would be have been doing (probably laughing). The conversations started from nothing, became a big issue, and ended with little or no conclusions...lol (the dialogue could be likened to science’s description of man’s evolution and the prediction of man’s end). Basically, having to listen to a Congolese guy who is obviously African, and is only concerned about women, money, power and Beer…lol. He has no serious thing about God. Says he’s a catholic because as a catholic, drinking alcohol isn’t a big deal. He also thinks it’s hard for a man to live with one woman. I’ll call him the typical Africa Man…lol
Okay Mr. Bruno, is Brazilian who left his house @ a young age, loves travelling, lived in Egypt for 3 years, has been in India for 2 years, he’s married, and he is a very funny young man. Bruno says India can Buy Nigeria 4 times. Bruno isn’t religious. Accepts he’s a Christian, calls himself a protestant. Mr. Mohammed is an Iraqi guy who is in his 40’s, Cheerful man though; he carries a thinking-worried look, he’s a Muslim, doesn’t believe in terrorism. Believes you should decide to be in a religion after proper study of that religion and other religions; not deciding to be in that religion as a result of being born into a family.
Lloyd on the other hand is just a normal guy, says he’s catholic, smokes, has not had so many opportunities proportionate to his qualification (I mean the guy is good when it comes to Networking) and the kind of knowledge I see he has. When it comes to women Lloyd admires from afar, and keeps his distance from girls who are seeing other men, or seem to be into someone else. The last guy is a Briton-Indian guy, can’t remember his name; but when I met this guy and talked with him for 3 minutes, I sensed inferiority complex. I mean he started telling me his age, told me he had achieved so many things, and I was wondering “I didn’t ask you...why tell me…lol”.
Rohit Pardasani, my faculty, and owner of the institute is an Indian man, married, and widely travelled. Nikunj sir, as we call him is another Indian guy, who is a faculty in ACIT, and also widely travelled.
Now after meeting these people, I came to the conclusion that it’s never about the colour or country, human beings are all the same, and we all go through the same feeling, emotions, complex, personality issues, and the likes.
I think Mohammed’s proposal might be a good idea; if everybody did what they knew was good for them, having weighed options and decide of their own will, we probably would have more devoted Christians, or any other religion as it applies to you. It’s not only about religion, it bulges down to every aspect of life; if kids had well guided parents, who could help these kids discover who they are early enough; probably our asylums will be less filled or not exist at all. If we as individuals will take accountability for living, and do what exactly we feel is our call and hunt it; from religion to the smallest things that matter to us, we most likely won’t always look over our shoulders.
Rohit, in one of the discussions we had about religions made some sense; he said he believes there is just one God, and all other religions are manmade. Just for your info he’s Hindu. Well he neither believes in Christianity, Islam or Hindu. He says he goes to church, the mosque, and the Hindu Temple, because he doesn’t know which is which (playing safe). Himself and Nikunj believe the same, but Nikunj is a strong Hindu.
Two weeks to my departure, am broke (I spent the money I had shopping for people), and am wondering how do I survive for 2 weeks and I’ve still got to buy more things. Okay I didn’t not officially tell God about it (lol…praying), but I knew I would survive. I was going to get cash from a friend, but a still small voice tells me not to. Well trust me, I went ahead on Sunday to tell this chic I’ll be needing something from her, that I won’t be able to give back to her( money). Next morning my dad sends a message to call my aunt, well after calling her, she says she’ll send me some money in the course of the week, and am wondering!!!!! Okay Monday goes, Tuesday comes and goes, Wednesday comes, and its around 5 pm …no call yet. Then I tell the chic I’ll need the cash the next day. I go out, then get back and she tells me my aunt called, I call back and the cash had been sent……………. Am asking this Question what Ignites your faith in God?
I listen to testimonies that people share and I ask me if it’s a testimony or Who God is that makes people love God so much. For example, if I passed an exam, I’ll thank God for success, but also understand that God does not do miracles on empty brains. What am saying here is, a lot of humans, Christians….and others, quantify God by what he does physically. Many hardly know him for who he is; his personality. Philippians 3:10 says” That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”This am sure is God’s mandate for man. That we’ll know him for what his personality his, the way Apostle Paul knew him, the way Abraham knew him, and trusted him when he saw nothing, Noah, Sarah and Hebrews 11 tells you more.
I probably in time past might have measured God unknowingly by what he does, but today am sure God desires us to know him beyond what he does, because those things he does that we use to quantify him, are in his nature to do and he desires us to see him for who he is, and develop a relationship with him on the basis of his personality. You know sometimes I just want to call him names in my local dialect (Yoruba) because it kind of makes more meaning to me; for example when you call him “Asoro ma ta se” meaning he’s God who does not go back on his words. That is one of is personalities, when we begin to develop a relationship based on who he is, then only can we see him for who he is.
